About Mary Leigh

Mary Leigh began her career as a T.V presenter in Australia, but she has always been a "MARJORIE PROOPS" character, helping people with personal relationship problems. This natural leaning to people and relationships led her to establish "Mary Leigh Premier" in 1996.

The agency grew quickly and by 1999 had become a successful operation, reaching thousands of people. But while the agency has grown and developed with time, latterly adding internet dating to its portfolio, Mary's key values remain the same: It's all about People. People who are lonely, people who need support to find their piece of happiness.

Single people in the UK (never married) between ages 18-85 yrs old amount to over 14 million. Over 10 per cent of adults in the UK are separated or divorced. Widows and widowers make up over 8 per cent of the population of the UK. This gives an approximate total of 26 million single people in the UK. The number of divorce cases continues to rise year on year.

When interviewed many people in the age bracket 18-30 yrs report that they are finding it extremely difficult to manage a career and find time to start a relationship.

The age group 30-50 yrs report that they feel as though they have lost the ability to meet a partner in the same way they did when they were young; added to this is the difficulty of juggling children and jobs.

Single people in the ages 50-85 often have problems finding someone special as they may not socialise as much as they used too.
